Talking About DEI at Home: Facilitating ARiA on Campus

Along with my boss, Karen Warren, at the NERCOMP 2022 annual conference, we discussed our work in conjunction with the national ARiA program, piloting the ARiA signature ROLLAP program at our home institution. Having served as facilitators for the national program, we brought our skills to a more intimate setting.  Each facilitated a cohort – one online and one in person.  In our presentation, we reflected on the transition from participating in a national DEI program to bringing it to a local level. What were both the challenges and opportunities that this local version of the program offered, and how did we address them? We hope to spark a conversation among audience participants about what they encounter as the challenges and opportunities in doing DEI work at their campuses.
